5th grade: abstract relief sculptures

Nature was our inspiration for creating these relief sculptures, which are raised only on the front.  After sketching and simplifying different landforms, gardens, waterfalls, etc., we designed three-dimensional reliefs from a variety of materials.  We also looked at examples by Frank Stella, like this one called The Science of Laziness.
